Some people like it rough. But the animal kingdom is a lovely reminder that some species have their cake and… er… eat it too?
Just look at the adorable faces of those praying mantises. Such delightful promise, such optimism. Surely they have overcome a great obstacle, like a having just overtaken some great contested mound of lady-dom in the hard fought battle of love.
As was recently mentioned, we here at Whip It Out don’t mind a rough tumble now and then. And if you’re say, a fanciful figure skater that kind of lifestyle actually improves your image in our eyes.
But how can you not feel bad for the lowly mantis? His inability to truly enjoy the one mating ritual he has in a lifetime is almost, but not quite, as gruesome as a failed prom date. And we wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
