The 9 Funniest Divorce Party Invitations

Wednesday May 6, 2009 2:43 PM

We understand that divorce can be a very difficult subject for people, and even though we will occasionally compile a list of the funniest quotes about divorce, we do take it seriously. But we also know that in a lot of cases, a divorce is actually a cause for celebration. As proof, we present this list of the 9 Funniest Divorce Party Invitations.

9. The Casket Invitation
How bad did your marriage have to be in order for you to spend the time building a mini-casket to hold your wedding ring for your divorce party invitation photo shoot?

8. The Boozy Invitation
If you can’t hook up with the recent divorcee that sends out this invite at her divorce party, then you should just give up on women all together.

7. The Pun Invitation
Yup, even when it comes to Divorce Parties greeting card companies feel the need to go for the cheesy pun. You just know that there’s a card with a “stag” joke on it somewhere out there.

6. The Divorce Cake Invitation
Wedding cakes seem to be very prominent in the Divorce Party card world, but this one takes it up a notch with the inclusion of a giant knife, which we assume was last used by the couple to stab each other in the back.

5. The Sex and the City Invitation
Even though this one doesn’t technically have anything to do with Sex and the City, we guarantee you that the woman throwing this party is every bit as annoying as Carrie Bradshaw.

4. The His and Hers Invitation
We’re noticing a theme…seems like a lot more women are sending out divorce party invitations than men. We’re guessing that’s because they are paying for the parties with half of their ex-husband’s money.

3. The Divorce Cake Invitation, Part Deux
Ok, this is actually a photo of a divorce cake and not technically a divorce party invitation. But somebody should use this as their divorce party invitation because it’s awesome.

2. The Free Deb Cole Invitation
We don’t know who Deb Cole is, but we think we love her.

1. The New Ring Finger Invitation
So simple, so perfect, so…divorce.
