If you enjoyed last weekend’s Hillary vs. Obama debate sketch that opened Saturday Night Live’s return to the air, then you can look forward to seeing the two (aka Amy Poehler and Fred Armisen) square off again this week to open the show. Apparently, the sketch was written by longtime SNL writer Jim Downey, who was infamously fired from the show years ago as part of the whole Norm MacDonald Weekend Update debacle.
Last week’s opening sketch played so well that appreantly Lorne Michaels is bringing Downey back to write another one to open the show this week. And this time around, supposedly the sketch will also feature host Ellen Page (aka Juno) as Chelsea Clinton. Sounds good to us.
