Those of you that missed our Whip It Out Comedy Live show last night at the Hollywood Improv missed one hell of a show – just ask Rebecca Romijn, who was in the crowd. Seriously. That’s how we roll.
Anyway, if you missed the show you still get to read this show wrapup and check out some photos to see how much fun you would have had if you would have gotten off your couch and actually come to see the show in person.
You can make up for your mistake next month, when we do it all again at the Hollywood Improv on Thursday, Sept. 27th at 8 pm. Subscribe to our email list (see the form on the side of this page to do so) and you can even come check out the show for free. Best money you could ever not spend.
Now, about last night…
Eddie Ifft made his Whip It Out Comedy debut as our host for the evening and he proved to be a capable ringleader who, when he wasn’t busy introducing the next act, offered the suggestion that strippers be named after things they need (Education, Dignity, Antibiotics) instead of things they want (Mercedes, Lexus, etc.).
Dan Levy was next to take the stage and he delivered a ton of new material since his last Whip It Out appearance several months ago. Levy also showed the first video of the night – the latest episode of his brilliant Coffee Bean Guys series which you can check out here.
A last minute surprise addition to the show, Todd Glass stormed on to the stage next. After banging on the Dos Spanish Flies drum set during his own introduction, Glass let loose with his usual set of free-form madness. Fittingly, he capped it off by showing a video for an infomercial which he proceeded to do commentary over. Good stuff.
Glass was followed by the always amazing Chris Porter who delivered with a set full of fantastic jokes about music, marijuana, and men’s showers.
Speaking of music, next up were the Dos Spanish Flies who killed with a set featuring such “classics” as LA Supermom, Vagina Hygiene, and Pussy Sandwich in addition to the debut of a new song we assume was titled Get Your Freak On.
Renee Gauthier was next to take the stage and she delivered a great set including a revealing story about how she recently became best friends with Eva Longoria. Renee also showed off her recent Cloverfield video which you can check out here.
Finally, Blerds member TJ Miller closed out the show with a manic set that started with reminiscing about getting dicks drawn on his face and went on to feature a lot of shout outs to alcohol. Fittingly, he wrapped the show up with another video – his brilliant take on Giraffe Facts which you can see here.
All in all, another awesome show. We’ll see you next month…unless you make the mistake of missing the show again.
